Tonight we enjoyed leading a Bible study on the Levirate law (Deut 25:5-10). We also explored the narrative of Judah and Tamar (Gen 38). Many of the 24 people in our group are young Christians, so they found it a real eye-opener! The two Nigerians in the group shared that Levirate marriage is still practised in parts of their country.  We learnt a lot about Malaysian society as we discussed how best to take care of elderly parents, including widows. Praise God for still speaking to us through His Word!
