Here's a recent picture of the STM community: faculty, staff and students.

Last Thursday we took a day off from lecturing and chapel and food to pray and fast. It was good to take a step back from the normal routine to focus on God and bring our requests to Him.

Six different lecture rooms were redecorated and each had a different topic for prayer. Topics included praying for: different aspects of the church here and our personal lives; the oppressed church around the world; Malaysia in general; other countries.

There was also time for communal prayer, and we finished with Holy Communion.

A reflection: they're more into symbols and rituals here at STM than what I'm used to. For instance, Communion is taken twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday).

Z (7 yrs): If you were Eve, would you listen to God or Satan?
J (5 yrs): J-E-S-U-S.
Z: No, God or Satan.
J: But Jesus is God.
Z: No, he wasn't born yet. Jesus is only in the New Testament.
J: Okay, God then.

Mum to Dad: It's your fault.
