A Pair of Chopsticks in the Hand of God
"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it onto completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

As we go to Malaysia we are very aware that we go in partnership with others who share our vision.
It has been said that serving God cross-culturally is like a pair of chopsticks: the bottom chopstick is foundational--it is a support for the top chopstick that moves. The chopstick that moves is like us, going to Asia to be involved in God's work.
The bottom chopstick that doesn't move is like you and other senders who pray, encourage, and give financial and practical support. Of course, this is all orchestrated by the hand of God. Just as one chopstick can't function without the other, we also need to work together under God.
There are many who are partnering with us: West Sydney Chinese Christian Church, OMF, Seminari Theoloji Malaysia, and people like you who support us in various ways.
So a heartfelt thank you for your partnership!

How can I partner with you in prayer?
Your partnership with us in prayer is crucial; without God’s enabling, we labour in vain.
Please fill out the response form (below) to let us know you’ll be partnering with us in prayer. We’ll keep you updated on what you can pray for. We have a monthly newsletter which highlights major prayer items. Once we're in Malaysia, we will also send out weekly prayer points to those who wish to uphold us in prayer more regularly.
How can I encourage you?
Keep in touch with us via email, skype, telephone or post.
How can I help you practically?
There are many ways you can help us before we leave, while we are in Malaysia and when we come back for home assignment. Please contact us and we will pass on your offer of help to our Homeside Ministry Team, who co-ordinate our practical care.
How can I partner with you financially?
We rely on the generosity of churches, family, and friends whom God moves to support us financially.
You have two options:
1. An ongoing pledge towards our annual expenses.
Pledges allow us to budget—to work out whether we’ll have enough funds to remain overseas from year to year. OMF requires us to receive 100% of our support pledged before we can book our plane tickets.
2. A one-off contribution. If you are unable to pledge a regular amount, that’s fine; we are still immensely encouraged by one-off contributions.
With either option please fill out the attached response form (below) and post or email it to OMF Australia.
If you are an overseas resident and would like to partner with us financially, please send your donations to the OMF office in your country. Please also send the response slip to OMF Australia.
Donations in the US, UK and Hong Kong are tax-deductible.

When do I start giving?
Either now or when we leave. Any money given now is put into a candidate fund to pay for: our airfares,
baggage allowance and other pre-departure expenses. The remaining balance becomes part of our ongoing support and is divided equally over our first term.
